For Kara, the salon was always home. Raised in Ohio with her parents' salon as her second home, she absorbed the craft, the culture, and the community of hairstyling long before she ever picked up her own shears. By 2013, she made it official, launching her career at her family's salon in Canton, OH and doing what she'd always known she was meant to do.

In 2018, she and her husband decided Chicago was calling - a stylist and a barber taking on the city together, which honestly sounds like the beginning of a great story.

Behind that warmth is a stylist who is deeply detail-oriented and constantly seeking out specialized training to sharpen her craft. Kara specializes in lived-in color and balayage techniques for stunning blondes, and is equally comfortable with everything from short clipper cuts to long flowing hair. She's also certified in Keratin Complex smoothing treatments and Hairdreams extensions (Nano's & Quikkies), always with an eye on keeping your hair healthy and beautiful first.
